Being
overweight or obese is both terms for having more body fat than what we
consider healthy, both are used to identify people are at risk for health
problems from having too much body fat. Let categorized in the simple words the
term “obese” means a much higher amount of body fat than “overweight.”
Fat is an
essential nutrient of the body for energy, heat insulation, and other body
functions.
Obesity
is the major cluster cause of affecting the reproductive cycle and reduction in
infertility.
Obesity
occurs many times because of genetically effect and causes many complications
like menstrual disorders, PCOS insulin resistance, diabetes and
cardiac ailments.
Obesity
is a multi factorial disorder affected by multiple genetic and environmental
factors, in particular nutrients, and their interrelationships. Increasing
knowledge of the genes and molecules involved in the development of obesity is
paving the way for new methods of obesity control.
In this
sense, Nutrigenomics which represents a new approach in nutrition research
that joints the application of powerful functional genomics technologies,
bioinformatics and molecular biology with more traditional methodologies--may
orientate the design and development of new functional foods for obesity, based
on the scientific knowledge of the impact of specific nutrients on the
mammalian body weight control system and their mechanisms of action.
