Central Leadership

Leadership is the process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task." Thus, a leader is the person that practices this social influence. Leaders are constantly seeking to exchange their knowledge, because that's how we increase our leadership skills. In reaction to the trait leadership theory, the behavioral theories are offering a new perspective, one that focuses on the behaviors of the leaders as opposed to their mental, physical or social characteristics. Thus, with the evolution in psychometric, notably the factor analysis, researchers were able to measure the cause an effects relationship of specific human behaviors from leaders. From this point forward anyone with the right conditioning could have access to the once before elite club of naturally gifted leaders. In other words, leaders are made not born. The behavioral theories first divided leaders in two categories. Those that were c
